From March 2014 until November 2015 Tom was the head of communications for the child rights charity,
, which works in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United Kingdom.
Childreach International works through a network of affiliate organisations;
Action for Brazil's Children (ABC Trust)
, as well as having projects in Morocco, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Tom led Childreach's anti-child trafficking campaign -
Taught Not Trafficked
- which was launched at the
London Indian Film Festival
in July 2015 when the film
opened the festival. The film was also shown in Kathmandu as the centrepiece of a week of events to raise awareness about child trafficking in Nepal. The Taught, Not Trafficked project run by
and other partners works to prevent trafficking through education and by keeping children in school. After the earthquakes of April and May 2015 the campaigns focus has been to rebuild schools that were destroyed in Sindhupalchowk district. To find out more go to

On January 31st 2016 Childreach's Taught, Not Trafficked project was featured as the BBC Radio 4 Appeal given by a
ctress Gillian Anderson, who stars in SOLD.
The appeal ran for a week and raised over £22,000.
